LG unofficially presented to the press at a MWC 2012 preview, their new smartphone line-up for the first half of 2012. The manufacturer will launch its first quad-core processor smartphone, called the Optimus 4X HD. Succeeding the LG Optimus 2X model which was launched last year as the first dual core smartphone, this new smartphone will feature a widescreen AH-IPS(Advanced High-performance IPS , new screen technology adopted by LG, consuming less and better reproducing the colors) 4.7-inch high definition (1280 by 720 points), hence the name HD 4X.
