With each week that passes, rumors about upcoming Apple products pop-up across the globe like nothing else. The most recent rumor concerns the next iPad and comes from China via 9to5mac. Apparently, an accessories manufacturer sent them a few images which should allegedly represent the back plate for the iPad 5.
As has happened with all generations of Apple’s mobile devices, the possible creation of an iPad mini comes again to light as a rumor. We heard people talking here and there about this iPad mini but the idea of the Cupertino company creating a 7 inch tablet was never 100% believable as Steve Jobs had always been against it. He once said that “there are clear limits on how close you can place things on a touch screen, which is why we think 10 inch is the minimum screen size to create great tablet apps.”
There have been numerous rumors on the possible development of an iPad Mini, a $199 tablet that Apple will launch in early 2012 to counter the Amazon Kindle Fire.
If iPhone has a serious competition from smartphones running Android, the iPad continues to maintain an impressive market share on tablets, estimated at 70 percent. Still, the arrival of new models can turn around the situation and Apple prepares for battle.
