Apple Overtakes HP As The Leading PC Manufacturer (If We Count Tablets)

In the last quarter of 2011 Apple became the leading manufacturer in the IT world, selling the most PC, according to data from consulting firm Canalys, which includes tablets as part of the PC segment.

The half bitten apple company sold 20 million units of the total 120 million that were sold from October to December. Of those, 15 million were iPads and 5 million Macs. With these figures the Cupertino technology giant has surpassed HP and has earned 17 % of the “PC” market.
