iOS 5 has brought some features that are really useful. Amongt them, we find the double-tap of the home button in LockScreen which offers the camera icon right next to the unlock slide. That’s very handy in those moments when you need to take a picture of a situation which is going to end soon. It offers a lot of speed and I am sure that most of the iOS 5 users are loving it.
But how would it be if other features would be available next to the camera icon? I am thinking that it would be very useful to have there some icons of other important features which need to be opened fast, like messaging, web browser or whatever you find it necessary.
Luckily we have found one good solution for the above mentioned purpose. It might not be complete for the moment, but we are sure that in the near future we will be provided with a maximum functionality. And in what other source would you find those kind of solutions, if not Cydia?

SwipeCam has been published in the a/m platform and it comes to replace the camera button from the LockScreen with some useful toggles for system setting purposes. It has been published in Cydia during the last week-end and it extends the functionality of the LockScren in a way you haven’t seen until now, which makes this tweak to be very interesting.
As you can see in the below mentioned video, which has been prepared by the guys from iDB, SwipeCam changes the way the camera button works in iOS 5 or 5.0.1. After installing this tweak, when we will double tap on the on the Home button in LockScreen, instead of being provided with the camera button right next to the unlock slide, we will receive several icons which can be accessed with a simple swipe gesture, from left to right.
Unfortunately the SwipeCam tweak is offering just two toggles for the iOS system settings: the Airplane Mode and the Wi-Fi functionality. However, the developers are promising to add other features like Location Services, Brightness, Safe Mode, Power etc, in a future update of this tweak. For the moment, for the amount of $1.49 we have to be satisfied with just the above mentioned 2 functions. But we are expecting an awesome functionality together with the next updates.
