Page Snooze – How To Hide Chrome Tabs And Automatically Open Them Later

Page Snooze – There are many situations when your Chrome browser is full of opened tabs and you cannot find your way through  them. Usually, most of them contain interesting information but which one to view first, which one to bookmark and study later? If you bookmark a page, will you remember to open it later? These are difficult questions to answer for the avid net surfer.

Luckily, Google Chrome supports extensions and there is an interesting one which might help us organize the way we open tabs; it is called Page Snooze and, just as the name implies, it enables us to snooze tabs for short or long periods, up to two weeks. When the time is up, the snoozed tabs will pop back in your Chrome browser. Meanwhile, you will be able to manage them from the Page Snooze settings page.

Once you install the Page Snooze Chrome extension, a notification/action button will be added at the right side of your address bar, in the tool bar.

You can either use this button to fast snooze a page, for 1 week, by clicking on it once you are on the specific tab, or to see the number of snoozed pages.

The Page Snooze Chrome extension will also add a new field in your context menu, entitled “Page Snooze“, which you can use to snooze sites for periods of time starting from 5 seconds up to two weeks. All you need to do is right click on the page you want to snooze, select Page Snooze, then the desired time frame and the page will automatically disappear. It will open back up into the browser once the time has run up.

Managing snoozed paged is as simple as it gets. Right click the Page Snooze notification/action button in the tool bar (at the right side of your address bar) and click on Options. You will get a list of snoozed pages and the time when they are scheduled to unsnooze. You will also be able to clear any of the saved sites or clear all with one click.
