How To Use WhatsApp On A Windows PC

1. Install YouWave

Installing the Android emulator is very easy, just follow the wizard step by step.

Remember that it is incompatible with VirtualBox . You have to uninstall this software, and reboot, before installing YouWave. In addition, YouWave does not get along in general with any kind of emulation or virtual network, so it is recommended that you disable VPN or the similar solutions when you use it.

2. Start YouWave

The first thing you see when loading YouWave is the log window .

The first option allows you to test the program for free during the trial period, while the next one provides you with the possibility to buy the product.

You will then see the screen start YouWave . You see, there is not much as it has no apps installed.

3. WhatsApp installed in YouWave

There are several ways to install on your emulated Android WhatsApp, but perhaps the easiest way is using the browser.

Click on its icon (the globe) and enter the following address: www.whatsapp.com. Once you load the website, download the application by clicking Download Now .

Once you have downloaded the file, click on it in order to start the installation. Note: the downloads are hidden in the top bar: drag downwards to zoom.

Accept the installation by pressing the “Install” button, and if all goes well, it will be ready in a few seconds.

4. Check your phone

If all went well, you can start WhatsApp.

Here you must keep in mind that you cannot use WhatsApp simultaneously with a single account (phone number) in two different devices. Therefore, you must choose between:

-          Uninstall WhatsApp form Android  smartphone and use only your Windows PC

-          Use another phone number that does not need WhatsApp

-          Create a virtual number , for example fonYou (also available for iPhone and Android )

Whatever your choice is, fill in the details and do not forget the country code – then click verify.

WhatsApp is unable to verify this process, since it has the ability to send or receive SMS. Even so, it will try for five minutes. Wait patiently . After five minutes, it will give up and give you the option to verify the number by calling.

Press Call me and receive a call from that phone number (if a virtual number, it is more likely to be a message on the answering machine). The voice simply repeates a three-digit code without stopping.

Write it in the box to verify your number. Then enter a name, and start.

5. Add your contacts

Your custom Android has no contacts and therefore neither does WhatsApp. Here you can choose to add them one by one or import them from a compatible format as VCF.

For examplethis task in Gmail can be accomplished from Contacts> More> Export and then choose vCard.

But how could you pass this file to your Android? You can do this in many ways: for example, send it to yourself by attaching it to an e-mail and open your mail from the browser.

When you open the attachment, the contacts are imported into your “phone”.

6.  Chat!

How to use WhatsApp on Windows without YouWave

You could say it is a kind of YouWave VirtualBox bundled with an image of Android (Android X86) and since both components are free, why pay for it? Not to mention the Android development kit , which is free of charge, and it also serves as the emulator.

The answer is the time . YouWave works as is, while doing its work in Android WhatsApp SDK. Running an Android-x86 requires much more patience and knowledge. We will give you the hints.

Before you install Android SDK you need to download and install the Java JDK . Then, the first time it starts, you’ll see the SDK manager, a repository of packages ready to be installed. Choose the version of Android you want to try (eg, 2.3.3, …), 3.0 tree expands its SDK brand platform. Then click Install x packages and start the download. The installation will begin automatically.

When everything is installed, use the following menu: Tools> Manage ADLs and press New . In the window that opens, choose any name for your phone, a version of Android and specifiy a maximum size for the SD card.

After pressing Create AVD, you already have your phone ready to start testing with Start .

WhatsApp running on Android SDK

The main problem with Android SDK is the slowness with which it works. Well how difficult it is to have WhatsApp successfully installed? The first problem should be solved with optimized builds for x86 -x86.org Android – but to run a VirtualBox image is a somewhat more laborious process.

Do you find it useful to use WhatsApp on Windows?
