1. The first thing you have to do in order to secretly change the relationship status on Facebook is, obviously, to open your profile.

2. On your timeline, under the personal information you will find a link which is named “About”. click on it.

3. In the menu with which you will be provided, the third option is called “Relationship”. Here you have to click on the ”edit” button. Now you will be able to edit the information regarding your relationship status.

4. Do not forget to click on the privacy settings icon. There you can choose that this change to be made public, to be seen only by your friends or to be hidden by everybody (by selecting the “Only Me” option).

If you haven’t set the relationship status on Facebook yet, then, in the step 3 of the above mentioned tutorial, you need to select the ”basic info” tab instead of ”relationship”. The rest of the process remains the same.

At the end, please make sure that the changes regarding the relationship status on Facebook are saved. I would also advise you to check your timeline to see if, by mistake, an unwanted status has been displayed.
