The new Gmail interface has already been activated, by default, for some of the Google Mail Service users. If your interface remained unchanged, you will learn here how to setup he new look.
After Google has announced the launching of the new Gmail, which, obviously, looks more simple now, users have expected with great interest change. Some of them have already seen the new Gmail interface changing automatically, while others did not received the update, yet. However, there is a way in which the last ones could activate the new Gmail look.
The ones which had no activated theme on their old Gmail interface, have received the update through a simple question, which Google has placed it in the lower right corner. The old Gmail interface is still stuck for the ones which have changed the classic theme with another one. But the way to change it to the new interface is simple. They should follow the below mentioned steps:
- Revert to the classic Gmail interface by accessing the following root: Mail Settings > Themes. Choose the first theme in that list: Classic;
- From the same list choose the Preview theme (it is placed somewhere at the end of the list). You will be now able to preview the new Gmail look.
- Revert to Inbox and wait for the Google notification (lower right corner).
- Click on that message and activate the new Gmail Interface
The New Gmail interface
After Google has changed the design for Reader and some other services, it was time to update the Gmail look, too. This happened at the beginning of this month. Some of the Gmail users have been already notified regarding this change and the possibility they have in order to use the new interface.
The biggest changes can be seen in the new Gmail look which is much more simple and attractive. New HD themes will be applied on the entire screen. Also, the search function has been improved. Starting with the first click on this bar, multiple search options will be displayed.
The way a conversation takes place in Gmail has also been changed. The message list is more friendly and much more easy to use in this new interface.
