Encoding Decoding Lets You Encrypt Or Decrypt Password Protected Files [How To

Once you choose to use Encoding Decoding to encrypt or decrypt a password protected file, the only thing that you should worry about is the password that you’ve used to encrypt the file or the password you are currently setting, so that the file can be decrypted later on. Among the files that Encoding Decoding can encrypt or decrypt are MS Office files, PDF files or any other file types including pictures.

Please note the fact that Encoding Decoding app is currently available for download in beta mode, with version number 3.0.0. Once you download it on your computer in order to start encrypting a file, you must drag and drop it in the main Encoding Decoding window. The application will automatically prompt you to enter a password and the level of security, depending on the characters and their number that you’ve used.

As soon as you enter the password, the Encoding Decoding application will then start encrypting or decrypting a password protected version of the file. The application will not replace your existing file, as Microsoft Office would do when you choose to protect a document with a password. Before deleting the original file, you should first test if Encoding Decoding is able to decrypt the previously password protected file that you’ve created.

Once you create an encrypted file, you can access it by double clicking on it. A password pop-up will then appear on the screen and if you enter the correct decryption key, you will be able to open the file. This proves that once a file is encrypted with Encoding Decoding application, you are able to access the password protected version if you know the decryption key.

You can use Encoding Decoding that lets you encrypt or decrypt password protected files on both Windows Vista and 7.
