Download Sn0wbreeze 2.9.3: updated iOS 5.1 jailbreak solution

Besides the support for Apple TV 2G and iOS 4.4.3 and 4.4.4, Sn0wbreeze 2.9.3 is also solving some bugs from the last version. These errors have appeared in the creation process of a custom firmware for iOS 5.1.

Sn0wbreeze 2.9.3 official change log says:

“Added Apple TV 2 support for iOS 4.4.3/4.4.4.

Fixed rare issues with iOS 5.0.1 where it would halt on the Apple upon boot.”

Just adding this in mainly for users who dumped their SHSH blobs. On the initial boot, the Apple TV may have a black screen for 60 seconds after setting up the Apple TV. This is normal.”

Sn0wbreeze 2.9.2 allowed us to create a custom ISPW which helped on jailbreaking our iOS 5.1 devices. Unfortunately this utility, which Sn0wbreeze has published a couple of days ago by iH8sn0w, was not the one that should reach the iDevices users. It has been developed just before iOS 5.1 has been officially released. Therefore, today we have been provided with a new Sn0wbreeze utility: version 2.9.3. This one has been compiled after a few bugs have been eliminated. Obviously, these bugs have appeared because of the incompatibility with iOS 5.1.

If you have not managed to successfully upgraded to the new iOS 5.1, then you can download and use Sn0wbreeze 2.9.3 in order to build a custom ISPW.

However, you should know that this tool won’t help you in jailbreaking iPhone 4S or iPAd 2. That’s because these devices are using A5 chips and, currently, there is no jailbreak solution for this platform.

If you device uses an A4 chip then the jailbreak with Sn0wbreeze 2.9.3 utility can be performed successfully, as per our jailbreak tutorial.
