Even if Pod2G has announced last week that he could postpone the release of his iOS 5.1 untethered jailbreak solution, the last evening we have received a new message from the prestigious hacker, on Twitter.

Pod2G has announced that he has found two new exploits in Apple’s mobile operating system. The hacker is talking about a kernel and a root exploit but he is also declaring that this is the only information that he can provide for the moment. With the help of these exploits, Pod2G could create a userland jailbreak solution which could be applied directly on iOS 6.

In this moment, Pod2G has 7 vulnerabilities which he can use in order to develop untethered jailbreak solutions. It remains to be seen which one of them he will be using and when he will do that.

Also, the famous hacker has created a poll on his own blog, asking visitors to vote if they would like to receive the above mentioned solutions for iOS 5.1 or if they would wait until iOS 6 will be released. This fact proves that Pod2G is pretty sure that Apple has no clue on the exploits he has discovered in the current operating system and they will keep them in the next OS, too.

Obviously, most of the people which have voted would like to receive the untethered jailbreak solution as soon as possible, so they could apply it on the current operating system.

The above mentioned hacker knows that if he will release now his solution, Apple will block this exploit in the upcoming OS version, and we will have to wait, again, a while for jailbreaking our devices.

No matter what Pod2G will choose, we don’t really have an accurate release date. However, stay tuned on onebiTzero and we will let you know when this thing will happen.
